The Arts Lounge is an art space where artisans can hire a space to exhibit their work, for a minimum of one month, with the added benefit of no hanging fees, no admin fees and no commission fees, all you pay for is your space with a wide range to choose from.

A 20% deposit is required when booking your space, the balance being payable when you deliver your work for exhibition. Art groups or art clubs can also hire a space and share the cost between them. For those who would like to display works of sculpture, wood, glass, ceramics etc, there are 4 medium sized glass cabinets with doors, 1 large glass cabinet with a door, 4 floor plinths that can display a number of items or one large item, and a 2 tier plinth. The gallery also has a display window which will also be used to display various works to attract the public.

If you book a period of 2 months or more you will be given the opportunity to be listed as a feature artist on the artist page on this site. This will include an image of your work, a short bio of no more then 85 words and a link to your own website / email [ if you have one ] providing you with valuable extra exposure FREE. All you need to do is provide a good quality .jpg of your work, your contact details and your bio in an email to Elizabeth Mason at theartsloungeuk@gmail.com

Before acceptance we would need to either see a sample of your work, by bringing it in to the gallery, or by supplying us with your website address so we can see your work online.

Also available to hire is a room upstairs which has a sink, 2 or 3 tables and chairs. This room will accommodate up to 8 people. Ideal for workshops, small art groups, craft classes.

If a group of artists would like to share a space please contact us. Art clubs or groups can jointly hire a space between them, as long as we have one person responsible for that group. We also have the capability of sectioning off the gallery for exhibitions, whether this is for an art group/club or solo exhibitions. please call or email for further details.

Dates and Prices for 2017 are shown below. The lettering system refers to the hanging panels available, which are indicated on the Arts Lounge layout plan together with the positions of the various plinths and glass display cabinets.

Display period is 4 weeks Tuesday to Tuesday - collect works Tuesday 10.00-1pm, deliver work Tuesday 2-4pm

SPECIAL EXHIBITION WEEK
This week will be allocated to any artist, group, art club or school who would like to have the whole or part of the gallery for an exhibition

These terms and conditions apply to the agreement between the artist and the Arts Lounge as set out below.

• The Arts Lounge reserves the right to refuse any work for display deemed as unsuitable.
• A non-refundable deposit of 20% is payable on booking your space, plinth or cabinet. The balance is payable on delivery of your work.
• Whilst the Arts Lounge is covered by cctv and a burglar alarm system, exhibited items are not covered by the Arts Lounge insurance policy. Cover must be arranged by the artist if required, as the Arts Lounge cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to the works, howsoever caused whilst the items remain on the premises.
• Only original works will be accepted for display in the Arts Lounge. Artists prints of their work can be displayed in the rack provided at the discretion of the Arts Lounge. Greetings cards of the artists work, up to a maximum of 20, can also be displayed in the racks provided.
• All artwork for hanging must be fully assembled and wired ready to hang. Incomplete or unsafe items will not be displayed.
• All unsold exhibits must be collected between 10.00am – 1pm and delivered for exhibition between 2pm -4pm on the specified Tuesday.
• The exhibitor must provide a price list of their work so that a printed list in the Arts Lounge format can be displayed in the artists space.
• Only the artists business cards will be displayed in there space. Advertising and promoting any other business is strictly prohibited.
• If the exhibitor agrees to payment by cheque, it will be made payable to the exhibitor as the Arts Lounge will not accept any responsibility for dishonoured cheques.
• A 5% handling fee will apply to all card transactions, unless specifically prohibited by the exhibitor.
• Proceeds for sales will be payable at the end of each month, and not before.
• Once a deposit has been accepted, the Arts Lounge deems the exhibitor understands and accepts the terms and conditions as set out above.
• If an artist cannot collect his/her own work on change-over day, a letter of authority will be required written by the artist. Paintings will not be allowed to leave the gallery without the permission of the artist.
